ABOUT THE ROLETroy’s role is a difficult one to define. At one point in time, when Troy first started REC Media as a one-man show, he literally did everything. 20 years later, he is still trying! He continues to lead the entire company by example and it’s Troy’s hands that mould the future for REC Media. He now plays a key role in overseeing sales activities, setting strategy, and establishing key relationships with facilities, partners and clients.
ABOUT TROYTroy is a classic Type A personality – always busy and constantly striving for perfection in everything he does. And he does A LOT. When not engaged in running REC Media, you might be able to catch him volunteering with a mentoring program through the University of Calgary, participating in Entrepreneur’s Organization, or volunteering with a church event. If this isn’t enough, Troy still finds time to squeeze in a swim, bike or run in preparation for the odd triathlon he might decide to complete. Oh, let’s not forget to mention he is also a husband and proud father of three….yes, that’s right, three! Troy truly does manage to fit 30 hours into every day.
A PICTURE IS WORTH 1000 WORDS...BUT EXPLAIN THE PICTURE IN 100 WORDS OR LESSWhy the Eiffel Tower?
Because the Eiffel Tower embodies Paris, and Paris embodies so many things I love – food, wine, travel, culture and romance. Even running.
Paris is my favorite city, hands down. It is the city of lights and the city of love.
And why running...? Because one trip I ran the entire old city for 2 hours. Started in the Marais, to the Cathedral Notre Dame, past the Louvre and Jardins Des Tuileries, through Place de la Concorde, up the Champs d'Elysee to the Arc du Triumph, into the Champs Du Mars and finishing at - you guessed it - the Eiffel Tour.
